Meet Jacqueline
I was born in Melbourne, Australia, and grew up in a beach town called Mona Vale, just north of Sydney. I began modeling at age 12 and, after graduating from high school, moved to Los Angeles to pursue my career as a model/actress.
In 2003, I went to a yoga class, and this is where I met my beloved Govind Das (Ira Rosen). I knew from our first date that he would be my life partner, and we married in 2005 on the island of Maui.
Though my acting and modeling career was rapidly progressing at the time, I began to struggle with loving myself and my body. I paused my acting and modeling career to focus on healing and learning to love myself. I became immersed in the study of yoga, traveled to India several times, and began teaching yoga throughout Southern California.
In 2009, my husband and I launched Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica. For 11 years, we served a great community. We later chose to shift from a traditional physical studio format to an online studio to ensure that the core practices of Bhakti Yoga—love and devotion—would continue as our community found its way through the pandemic.
Govind Das and I currently host weekly offerings in Topanga Canyon, California, as well as online yoga and kirtan classes, and we lead annual yoga retreats in various locations around the world.
I am also working on new music, which will be released in 2024. My music will be featured in Love Wild, an unconventional biopic feature film based on the life of Mary Pickford, directed by Jennifer DeLia, coming out in 2024.
We live on the California coast with our two children.
Thank you for visiting my site and for your support.
Waves of love,
Jacqueline
